Masterclass with Priscila Sartori

Priscila Sartori (originally from Brazil) is a ZES from the US known as the ‘Samba Queen’. She will be visiting the UK shortly and will be leading a Masterclass at Airbus with Chilean Zumba Jammer Paula Picon and Brazilian ZIN Adriana Whitley in Broughton on Wednesday 29th February from 7:30 till 9:00pm.

I’m honoured to have been invited to attend as a special guest.

The masterclass will be in support of ABC Trust (Action for Brazil’s Children).  Here is a poster you can download to promote the event

It would be great to see you there to support the cause. I know it clashes with our regular Zumba class on Wednesdays and some of you might not be able to make it. However, my class will still go on and lovely Michelle will be there to cover and take good care of you.

For more information and to book visit:
http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/2836723717

If you want to buy a ticket at the early bird rate of £10.00, I’ll be selling some tickets at my regular classes.

Zumba love and see you soon!

Sandra

Got what it takes to be a Zumba Instructor?

If you would like to train to be a Zumba Instructor then you may be aware that currently trainings in the UK are so high in demand that they get sold out very quickly.

One way to overcome this is to become a host yourself for a training day. All you need to do is find a venue and hire it for the day and you get a free place on the course!

I am currently looking for new venues for training.

If you know of a studio (with a capacity of at least 45 people) which may be suitable (see the link below) please email me back. Thanks!

http://hostatraining.zumba.com/
Some guidelines for a suitable venue:
- Wooden (preferably sprung) floors
- The capacity to hold at least 45 people
- Mirrored walls (at least one – it must be the front, the longest wall in the studio) or staging
- An excellent sound system that takes iPod connection and does not distort.  It also cannot have a volume restriction too low for the masterclass
- Air Con
- The studio needs to be available for a full Thursday/Friday/Saturday/ 7am-6pm with no break for other classes, as the day is non-stop
- There must also be facilities for the participants for breaks and lunch, lockers, enough toilets and showers to cope with the numbers as well as members.
- Studio needs to have a white wall suitable for projecting or a projector screen.
- No gymnasiums or sports halls

Early birds

What a great Wednesday night class we just had together. I love it when you all go for it and get in the mood with the rhythms and the music – it makes for a better class for everyone. Zumba is the type of excercise where you get back what you put in so why not go the extra mile and give it all you’ve got? You might be stiff in the morning but your body will thank you for it and will give you more energy back in return.

Welcome to all the new people who joined us tonight also. Always great to meet newbies and welcome them into the Zumba family. Before the next class starts why not take a minute to say hello to someone you haven’t met before? You’ve already got Zumba in common!

80 people attended tonight’s Zumba class which is a record! With the weather getting better and it being lighter at night now (with the clocks having changed last weekend) the chances are that we will have a good turnout next Wednesday also. 80 is the maximum capacity for the hall so make sure you come early to avoid disappointment – I would hate to have to turn anyone away…

A class on Monday is also available to those persons seeking a low impact workout. It starts at 6pm.

I’ll soon be putting up the new music that you danced to tonight on the music page of the site.

Zumba love,

Sandra.
